Research and Practice is hosting an online academic journal since 2005. The current issue of Research and Practice in Social Sciences (ISSN-1715-4731) is now available. The objective is to give researchers a channel to express their research and practice and involve large number of participants. We provide a venue for such scholars and scholarly works that allows the "subaltern" and "subjugated knowledge(s)" to speak. We sincerely believe that all knowledge is public knowledge, and that everyone should not only have access to knowledge, but also be able to contribute to it.
We aim to promote an engaging academic dialogue around both highlighted themes and perspectives, as well as those that need to be brought to attention. We aspire to create a passion for scholarship through which we will entrust our academic process, disseminate knowledge, and grow with it. We encourage readers to submit their viewpoint about all the articles published here. Readers can submit their opinion directly to the author, or at our contact address to seek clarification, and move the dialogue further.
Research and Practice carry peer reviewed articles, and for this we encourage young enthusiastic scholars to come forward and join us as collaborative reviewers. Our editorial team will assist authors as needed to improve their texts. The essence of this editorial relationship will be one of utmost respect and cooperation. We try to maintain uniformity (not, rigidity) of style and, therefore, follow common submission guidelines. Nevertheless, we intend to move beyond gate-keeping role of editorial tradition, to encourage scholars and scholary works- from and about people and places- not generally visible on international forums.
We have been offered hosting by the Digital Archive of the University of British Columbia (Vancouver). Therefore, in due course, we will be moving to http://ojs.library.ubc.ca/index.php/researchandpractice
